President Michael Scarabino called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. with 33 members and guests present. The hosts for the meeting were Jerry Fairchild and Ronnie Williams who with Stephen Cade had an “all you could eat” fish fry with hush puppies. Michael thanked Jerry and Ronnie for hosting the meeting. The members seconded it.

Treasury Report: Beginning Balance for the month was $xx.xx with deposits of $xx.xx, and withdrawals of $xx.xx making an ending balance of $xx.xx. The Zone Meet expenses are not included in this report. Rhonda is still waiting for some expenses to be turned in.

Old Business: Southeast Zone Meet – Michael thanked everyone for helping to make this a successful meet that everyone enjoyed. Larry Goode from Central Florida Chapter said the bar has been raised. The meet was the best. The members all agreed that we owe Martha Cade a huge Thank You for running a successful Zone Meet. A bouquet of thanks to Martha! There are a few t-shirts left if anyone is interested. The smaller sizes have been ordered for the people on the list. It was Edith Fifer’s idea for a theme of the Roaring Twenties. A bouquet of thanks to Edith for such a wonderful idea.

New Business: Richard Dormois emailed Martha Cade saying how much he enjoyed our hospitality at the Southeast Zone Meet. He was so impressed that he would like our group to host the 2011 SDC International Meet. The requirements for hosting the meet would be: Meet hotel with other hotels nearby if the meet hotel is not large; Banquet room to hold 500 diners; Parking for concourse of 400 cars; Indoor vendor area for one week of 30,00 square feet. Something to think about – the pros and the cons.

The SDC International Meets will be held in 2006 – Omaha, Nebraska, Sept. 24-30; 2007 South Bend, Indiana, June 17 – 23; 2008 – Lancaster, Penn, Sept 14 – 19; 2009 – Phoenix, Arizona, Oct 24 – 30.

Sue Tucker is resigning from fund raising – 50/50. We need a volunteer to take over this job.

New Members: Bob & Jan Mason, Jim & Wanda Ray, and Pam DeSantis.

Next Meeting: Rhonda and Michael Scarabino are hosting a Pig Roast June 10, 2006. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish or desert.

Michael asked if there were anymore new business to be discussed. There was no more new business so the meeting was adjourned.
