NCFSDC June Minutes
June meeting of the NCFSDC was held at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala, Fl on June 11, 2005 with eighteen members present.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Michael Scarabino. The first order of business was concerning the meeting held at the Villages on May 21, 2005. It was reported that fourteen members attended and everyone enjoyed admiring the cars that were displayed. Jeff Rice thanked everyone for showing up. He suggested that we think of having a Studebaker day at the Villages in February with flyers going out in January to advertise the event. We would then move Rainbow River meeting to March so we all could stuff the goodie bags for the Zone Meet. After discussing the pros and cons Edith Fifer moved to make February 2006 meeting at the Villages and Rainbow Springs the March meeting. Danny Thomas seconded the motion and it was unanimously accepted.
Stephen Cade moved that the minutes for April and May be accepted as read. Gerald Tucker seconded that motion and it was carried.
The next meeting will be held at the National Parts Depot on July 9th at 11:00 a.m. with a tour through the facilities. The business meeting will be held afterward at the restaurant.
New Member to join was John Conlon. Welcome to the club.
Treasure’s report: Beginning balance for May was $xx.xx. There was one expenditure of $xx.xx and deposit of $xx.xx leaving a balance of $xx.xx
Old Business:
The T-shirts and design were discussed for the 2006 Zone Meet. It was decided that the logo for the sleeve and dash board would be the southeastern map with Studebaker.
A discussion was held concerning the wood for trophies. The discussion consisted of how much Studebaker lumber to buy and how much to spend. At the end of the discussion, it was determined that we had already given approval for how much and the price at a previous meeting. Charlotte Delli moved and Stephen Cade seconded the motion to go with our previous decision.
A new Vice President was nominated and was unanimously approved. The new VP is Gerry Goodrich.
New Business:
Charlotte and Bill Delli are planning a new mystery trip for November 2005. They informed us they bet we haven’t been there before. They would like a big turn out for this event.
Gerald and Sue Tucker will be touring England with the Studebaker Group over there.
The 50/50 winner was Stephen Cade.
Danny Thomas made the motion to adjourn and Sue Tucker seconded the motion. |
