North Central Florida Chapter of the SDC
Minutes - December 8, 2001
Lake Panasoffkee, Florida
President Stephen Cade called the meeting to order at 3:30 & the club was reintroduced. The meeting was held pool side at the Best Western. There were 18 members present.
Old Business
- Club Logo - Due to the lack of input and ideas for the club logo - Discussion will be postponed until the January meeting in Palatka @ Jerry’s Drive in. Members are encouraged to bring ideas for the official club logo to this meeting!!
- Car Show? - Club members further discussed hosting a “general” car show (not only Studebaker.) A tentative date was agreed upon in late September of 2002. Gerald will contact the Suwanne car club to see if they are interested in co-hosting
- More Kudos - Stephen read more letters from attendees of the October state meet. Everyone seemed more than pleased with our event!
- Meeting Schedule 2002 - Charlotte Delli Passed out a list she created of meeting dates, locations, and hosts for the 2002 year. A copy of this list will be included in the next newsletter. As of now, these dates are not set in stone and the club hopes to finalize this list at the January meeting. Members, please take the time to review this list, we need your input!!

- Treasury Report - Roger presented the report as Barrie was unable to attend the meeting.

Bill Schettino’s 2002 dues were waived as he has not received a newsletter since joining. Sorry Bill!!!
- Insurance Program For Officers - Gordon Sheldon, the southeast zone coordinator, has informed all the SDC chapters in the southeast about an insurance policy that will protect the chapter officers in the event of lawsuit stemming from a club related function. This policy cast $100.00 per year. Gordon says the insurance company wants 50% of the SDC Chapters to show interest in this policy before it will write it. The club unanimously approved we get this insurance if it becomes available through this program. Danny will e-mail Gordon on Monday 12/10/01 letting him know we are interested.

- Newsletter Input - Charlotte, the clubs new editor, wants you to contribute to the newsletter. She asks for special interest stories, tech tips, classifieds, etc. Please submit all newsletter materials to her.

Meeting was adjourned at 4:30pm. Then the club proceeded to Catfish Johnnies for the annual Christmas party. There was lots of good “stealing” going on during the gift exchange. The food was excellent - Many thanks to Derwood for making the arrangements!
