North Central Florida Chapter of the SDC Minutes

President Stephen Cade called the meeting to order at 2:10pm. Kudos was given for the hard work given by many to host this meeting. Last head count (the best I could manage) 88 club members of the NCFC, the South Georgia Chapter & guests were present. Cars present (not counting parts yard cars) 75 Studebakers on the property -- What a nice sight!
Old Business
Edith Fifer’s “Club Shirts” report
Shirt info as follows:
$50.00 digitizing fee for logo
$ 5.00 Extra for logo embroidered on sleeve
$ 18.95 per shirt (Golf style - 50/50) order from 25 to 50 shirts.
The club went over colors & sizes. Could we supply our own shirts?
Motion was on the floor to let Edith do the shirts with no logo on the sleeve and she choose the color - Motion passed. She will bring shirts of different sizes to the next meeting and the club will place the order.
New Business
Don Fifer’s “Car Classes” for October meet
- Don and Stephen conferred for a few minutes and presented the club with the following classes for the October meet:
Pre-War
Post War
1959-63 Larks
1964-66 Larks
1953-61 K-Bodies
GT Hawks
1963-70 Avanti
Light modified cars with Studebaker power
Heavy modified cars without Studebaker power
Light modified trucks with Studebaker power
Heavy modified trucks without Studebaker power
Watches
These classes were approved
Turning Wheels Ad
- The club gave permission to registration chairman Edith Fifer and Danny Thomas to put the ad for the state meet together for the May issue of the Turning Wheels. This will run monthly up to the meet
Trophies
- Roger Thelin suggested that there be a “Mayor’s Choice” or “Hotel Manager’s Choice” trophy awarded at the meet -- motion carried
- Information on trophies and costs will be available at the next meeting
Treasury Report
No treasury report was given but the club did gain 3 new members and $xx.xx was added to the club account from the 50/50 drawing.

- Information on the the April meeting in Herenando will be published in the newsletter
